- Design and develop cryogenic UHV STM and AFM systems.
- Interact with customers and RHK's sales staff to incorporate customer requirements into system design.
- Interact with RHK's mechanical engineers for system modeling and mechanical drawing generation.
- Interact with RHK's electronic engineers to optimize control system interfaces and develop necessary control devices.
- Interact with production staff for system assembly.
- Conduct system tests to optimize performance and develop system testing and performance specifications.
- Provide customer support.

- PhD Degree in physical sciences or engineering.
- Hands-on experience in cryogenic SPM design and operation.
- Broad knowledge of cryogenic physics and materials.
- Broad knowledge in the field of SPM (STM, AFM, NSOM, etc.) techniques will be a major plus.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work as member of a small team to meet project demands and deadlines.
- Highly organized, self-motivated.
