One Box Integration. Outstanding Ease of Use. Integrated one-box solution eliminates multiple modules for every function, and enables simple system reconfiguration through software.

Graphically configure and connect firmware modules to hardware components: PLLs, lock-ins, filters, amplifiers, phase shifters, counters, feedback loops, numerically controlled oscillators (NCO), and more.

Supports all AFM operating modes, such as contact and conductive AFM, NCAFM, and KFM, without need for external hardware modules.

  - Supports both tuning fork and cantilever AFMs.
- PLL plus multiple lock-in channels, able to image multiple harmonics simultaneously.
- NSOM: Multiple high speed input channels allow synchronization of optical signals (both analog and pulse counting) with probe position
- KFM: All-in-one-box solution, no external hardware modules required

Phase Synchronization enabled by single 100 MHz clock with dedicated clock distribution circuit
- Assures maximum precision by providing exact synchronization of all excitation and detector references
- Eliminates amplification of clock jitter when clock multiplied and distributed through FPGA circuitry
- Eliminates loss of phase accuracy inherent in multi-unit configurations

Lower Noise
- Decreases electrical noise inherent in multi-unit connections
- Noise reduced to theoretical limits through unique hardware design based on decades of RHK leadership and expertise

Outstanding Ease of Use
- Fewer connections and cables
- Quick, simple experiment set-up with pre-configured templates
- Fast, easy customized reconfiguration with IHDL™

Powerful Experimental Flexibility
- Lock-in or PLL can feedback on fundamental or any integer/ non-integer harmonic of excitation signal
- PLL detection can be frequency or phase offset from excitation signal
- Simultaneously measure multiple harmonics of detected signals
- Additional lock-in circuitry operates independently of PLL or tracks any integer or non-integer harmonic of PLL frequency
- Unique KFM mode allows bias modulation frequency to be above PLL demodulation bandwidth for high speed imaging
- Self-oscillation mode supported
- Measures both DC and AC cantilever components
- Flexibly configure firmware module functionality. For example, a lock-in or PLL can be set to feedback on the fundamental or any integer/non-integer harmonic of excitation signal. Multiple configured lock-ins can operate independently from each other or track multiple harmonics of any input signal.
