Low Current STM Preamplifiers

RHK has developed a series of state-of-theart multi-gain preamplifiers specifically designed for optimum low-noise STM performance. The IVP series of preamplifiers provides a unique combination of low noise with wide bandwidth operation. Furthermore, these amplifiers exhibit an extremely flat frequency response over the entire bandwidth and provide uncommonly stable operation over a wide range of operating conditions (including input capacitance of up to 100pf).

The preamplifiers are two-stage devices providing optimum performance at a wide range of operating parameters. Each first stage preamplifier is equipped with RHK’s unique I/V converter design and provides a fixed gain stage amplifier. The second stage provides an additional pin programmable gain stage with a selectable low pass filter. A series of first stage models provides gains from 107 (UHV only) to 109, including a model designed for operation in vacuum for UHV applications.
